Dr. Darlene Saxon – Director, King's Kids of Greenwood

Dr. Darlene Saxon is the visionary Director of King's Kids of Greenwood, where her lifelong passion for children, education, and community impact comes alive each day. A native of Greenwood, SC, Dr. Saxon combines decades of leadership with academic excellence and professional training to provide an environment where children flourish socially, academically, and creatively.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Liberty University and a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership, equipping her with both the educational expertise and executive acumen to guide one of the region’s most innovative early learning centers. In addition, she has earned two Doctorates—one in Christian Theology and another in Christian Ministry—reflecting her deep commitment to faith, scholarship, and service. Her dedication to excellence has also been recognized with the International Miracle Institute Distinguished Alumni Award, a prestigious honor that underscores her leadership, vision, and global impact.

With over 40 years of leadership experience as a mentor, speaker, and community builder, Dr. Saxon is widely celebrated for her ability to inspire growth, instill confidence, and create opportunities for children and families to thrive. Her work as Co-Senior Pastor of Kingdom Works Ministries Int’l further fuels her mission to cultivate the next generation with strong values, creativity, and self-worth.

With a curriculum that includes bilingual studies, music, sign language, and art, Dr. Saxon ensures every child is celebrated for their individuality while being prepared for lifelong success.

Married for over 40 years to her high school sweetheart, Lonnie Saxon, she is a proud mother of five and grandmother of three. Her legacy is one of excellence, faith, and empowerment—and through King's Kids of Greenwood, she continues to reflect her commitment to shaping bright futures.
